Noreen Harrington

Oceanus Investments Partner


A 35 year veteran on Wall Street  Ms. Harrington brings her depth and experience to Oceanus Investments as a Partner.

From 2005 to 2015 Noreen was an alternative investment specialist managing their hedge fund portfolio for MD Sass, a U.S. $7 billion investment management firm. She was an advisor to AAM (Alternative Asset Managers, LP) a private investment boutique primarily focusing on providing seed capital to start up hedge fund managers.

Noreen has built two investment platforms for the owners of the New York Mets and for the owners of the Hartz Mountain Group. She served as the Chief Investment Officer managing their funds.

She was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs heading up the hedge funds and non-dollar sales in the fixed income division globally and co-head of Barclays Capital Fixed Income and a member of Barclays management committee.

Her industry awards include: 2003 Titan of the Year, 2003 Compliance Person of the Year, 2003 The Truthsayer Award and 1997 Top Fifty Women in Finance. She is founding member of 85 Broads, Goldman Sachs Women’s Network and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Steve Tye

Mr. Tye began his career as a financial analyst with the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas before moving into a career in bond underwriting and syndication, culminating in a 13-year career with Salomon Brothers, where he was the Managing Director in charge of international bond trading and syndication. (The largest underwriter of mortgage backed real estate securities). Steven went on to co-found online finance company, one of the first online financial companies, which was sold to GMAC in 1997. After a return to finance as a Managing Director at Chase Manhattan Bank, Steven realized that he missed the entrepreneurial life and went on to be involved in a number of startup enterprises and a former  Blackwood Holdings Partner. His current entrepreneurial involvement spans real estate, finance, franchise restaurants, design and organic lifestyle companies.

 




  

Todd Cohen

Mr. Cohen has over 25 years experience in commercial real estate having financed well over $1 Billion of debt and equity for all types including multifamily (for sale and for rent), hotels, assisted living, industrial (all types), office complexes, medical,  large big-box retail, subdivisions, resorts, and large sports facilities.  His expertise includes all aspects of the deal from due diligence, valuation and underwriting to financing, closing and asset management. As the Principal of Cohen Real Estate Capital,  Todd has performed these tasks for a wide variety of clients including developers, large regional and national developers, private family offices and large hedge funds.   Todd also has managed various types of commercial properties for himself and investment  partners and develops luxury single-family spec homes, buys and sellers small multifamily rentals and owns several high grossing restaurants and bars.  Direct managed commercial assets have totaled over $250 million and co-managed assets totaled over $3 Billion,  including a $2 Billion portfolio of large non-performing loans and REO assets for GMAC ResCap and Cerberus Capital.  Prior to starting his company, Todd worked for Primary Capital (now Jones Lang Lasalle) and Ocwen Real Estate.


 

Jeff Neal

Mr. Neal is a hospitality and real estate executive with over 25 years of professional experience specializing in hotels and resort construction, real estate sales for residential, commercial and master planned developments. 

He also has an extensive background in hotel, restaurant, golf operations and sales/marketing for resorts and private planned residential communities in the U.S., Caribbean and Europe and has been instrumental in garnering some of the most prestigious international awards in the hospitality and real estate industries including International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) Golf Resort of the year.

His expertise also includes conducting extensive due diligence, feasibility assessments and consulting for real estate and hospitality projects needing financing and is a turnaround specialist for existing underperforming operations by providing financial solutions/structuring. 

Some of his additional experiences before joining Oceanus Investments were with Grupo Puntacana, NGM Management and Better Homes and Gardens Realty/ Florida Home Realty.
